Patrick was driving home from a friend’s when he was hit head-on at 60 miles an hour on Rt. 287 in Mahwah, NJ. A young man entered the divided highway, going the wrong way, hitting Patrick’s car, driver to driver. Patrick suffered severe injuries to his lower extremities, and was air-lifted to Hackensack Medical Center. He spent several months in the hospital and rehab, and is now recuperating at home. He was terminated from his job losing his medical insurance, and he has fully depleted the insurance from the young driver who hit him. Several more surgical procedures are needed to lengthen his one leg.
